  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wat does those animals feed on.

I saw this question soneday ago on this website but no one bother to answer this, so i am asking this question again.

After he flood, wat does 'those animals that feed on other animals' (it is called herbivoure if i m not wrong, but not that sure) feed on. If so many herbivoure were to feed on other animal, many animal will be extint by then i guess.

Herbivores eat plants, and carnivores eat flesh. Omnivores eat both.

Rechtgläubig answered your question in this thread that you started about nerve cells in animals after I commented that all things changed fter sin and death entered the world after mans fall in the gardern of Eden.

http://www.christianforums.com/t68365

He gave two good scriptures:

Genesis 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

Genesis 9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

After death came into the world, all creation was effected by that fall into the curse of death, and the nature of death became as we see today. Animals naturally feed on each other from great to small. Even insects feed on each other. The Bible states that all of creation groans under the burden of sin that Adam brought to this world by the dimension of time and death.

Romans 8:22 for we have known that all the creation doth groan together, and doth travail in pain together till now.

Who knows exactly what it will be like when the Lord returns and changes all this from death to life. Dangerous animals will be led by a small child, and the lamb will lie with the lamb.

Isaiah 11:6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

Isaiah 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.

the water had receeded , prior to Noah's landing the ark ... plants grow fairly rapidly .....

more herbivores were taken on the ark for sacrifice to God , and for restocking the earth

during the flood all animals ate hay .... as is written in the day of the Lord ... lion will lay down with lamb , child will play next to den of serpent ...

If you believe Genesis isn't literal, than you have lost the whole foundation of the bible itself, and christianity then collapses and falls. The words of Jesus can no longer be taken as truth, nor can much else in the bible, if genesis is not taken literally.

So, many biblical arguments aren't really relavent if you believe that Genesis isn't literal, because you can't really do more than speculate when it comes to what the bible says, thus relying on human reasoning and opinion.

If genesis isn't literal, how do we know that anything else in the bible is literal? If we don't know that anything else in the bible is literal, how do we know that Jesus was real? If we don't know that Jesus was real, how can we be christian? If we can't know any of these things, how can we know the truth? How can there even be truth, if it's all subject to speculation and opinion?

I suggest you check out Ken Ham and his work with answers in Genesis www . answersingenesis . org
There are a few good books, and wonderful seminars/messages he gives on this topic, it's worth checking out for anyone who professes to be Christian.

Why do you think so many people promote that it's not literal? If I can say it's not real, I can then pretty much discount anything God says.
