Did the socalled empty and totally dark space existed before the creation of universe in Genesis 1 ?

Or was there only spiritual realm of heaven without any material of physical forms like our world ?
The Spirit of God move on the face of the water, what kind of water existed before the creation ?
This is controversial for many who don't understand it, but the Genesis 1:1 declaration in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, THAT is about a PREVIOUS PERFECT creation.
The Genesis 1:2 verse is actually describing the already created earth in a flooded ruined state. The Hebrew for "without form, and void" actually means 'a waste and an undistinguishable ruin' (tohu va bohu). It is further described in the Jeremiah 4:23-28 Scripture.
In Romans 8:18-25, Apostle Paul reveals that today's creation is in a state of vanity, in bondage to corruption, and that it along with us seeks a release from bondage, waiting for the future manifestation of the sons of God.
So one must think about that for a while, because Paul shows God placed today's creation in that state of bondage to corruption. Why? Well what happened when Satan first rebelled against God in that old world by coveting God's throne?
By the time of Adam and Eve in God's Garden, we see "that old serpent" (Satan) already established in his role as deceiver and tempter, which shows he had already rebelled against God. But in Ezekiel 28, we are shown (via parable) that God originally created Satan perfect in his ways, until iniquity was found in him. Satan originally served God right at His Altar, as a covering cherub to guard God's throne.
Thus there was... a previous world earth age PRIOR to this one we are in today, which is preserved unto fire when Jesus returns. This is what Apostle Peter was actually covering in 2 Peter 3 about the 3 world ages.
