Was Napoline Dynamite good or stupid?

It's funny because people I talk to about it ask me what the plot is....i'm like...uhmmm well there isn't really one. The more you watch it you pick up on things you didn't see before. But it's not a movie you can sit down and expect to love...a sense of humor helps and some experieince with things in the 80's. Does anyone have an idea of when it was supposed to take place? I know Uncle Rico wanted to travel back to '82 so it wasn't supposed to be in the '80s but so many things were so 80's

I thought it was funny in a stupid kinda way, but the movie doesn't really have a plot or purpose. I guess it's just meant to be taken lightly and just laughed at.

loved it!! It's such comedy and I enjoyed how its not raunchy or exploits women's body parts. I think its great how so many teens & adults enjoyed something like that so much...Proud to support Napoleon Dynamite

Exactly the same here. I think it was so stupid, but hilarious at the same time. It was also probably who I saw it with. They had all ready seen it before and told me it was hilarious so we were laughing the whole time. I just saw it this weekend for the first time. I put haven't seen it yet on the poll before, but now I think I'd put really funny or just ok. I'm not really sure. lol

It was pointless. I count it among some of the most wasted hours of my life.I'm not saying this to tear anyone or anything down. But what I look for in movies and books is something to take out of it and apply to your life. I saw nothing of that in that movie.

When I went over to America for a holiday I remember some kids telling me I had to watch Napoleon Dynamite, so I did. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! I couldn't go home without watching it again, and receiving a "Vote for Pedro" T-shirt off of a family I stayed with.

I agree with a lot of the people who said they hated it when they watched it first... But then liked it more and more as they thought about it afterwards.

I also liked that it was a flippin clean movie...
