Read my replies again.Your view is totally out there. Instead of answering my question, you give your view. Had you answered my question, you would have at least started to realize that it would be impossible for the end of the world to come without the gospel being preached to all of the world. By the time the Temple was destroyed, would you be willing to state honestly that the gospel had already spread to all of the world? How can the gospel be preached unto all nations as a witness unto all nations if the end had come prematurely? Furthermore, you didn't apply this verse: Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
The red portion shows us that they were asking for the signs that would lead to the end of the world. There is no indication that the actual end was to come exactly at that moment the Temple was destroyed. As I have already stated, the Temple is just but one sign. Earthquakes and other calamities would also appear.
Can you see how your view has problems?
I gave a few possibilities of this error of Matthew. It is either that Matthew was expecting an "end of the world" during the disciples time, which did not happen, OR the "end of world" was referring not to the destruction of the planet but to probably the "end of Jewish world" with the destruction of the Temple.
Take your pick.
In either case, the reference was on the destruction of the Temple in 70 AD, which you have difficulty admiting, and your scripture is very clear.
Speaking of the gospel being preached at the end of world, the Gospel (not the 4 Gospels as they were not in circulation before the destruction of Temple in 70 AD), is the Injil, which was to be preached to the Jews (Jewish world of Judea).
You asked what the Signs, and the Signs were given as I have explained and that you can get from Matthew.
My appeal to you and fellow Christians is to look at another angle and read the passage in the right context. The gospel to be preached to the end of world, as one the Signs, was to happen before the destruction of the Temple. What do you mean by the "gospel" and "end of world", I have explained above.
Show me how I could be wrong.
