  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lol. Whooo-hoo!

No but really if you consider 'charismatic' meaning that he used spiritual gifts such as words of wisdom, healing, etc. - then yes of course. The Gospels aren't just an account of Jesus' time 'in the flesh', it is also a glimpse in the supernatural that is acesible to all through Christ and his giftings and the battle between the Kingdom of God trying to reclaim this world from the kingdom of evil.

Charismatic? I think he made people smile, laugh, cry...and some of them he made very angry. But I don't know if he was "charasmatic" as a personality trait...I don't know if we can assign any of those things to him...asking the question might be like asking the question "Was Jesus beautiful when he walked the earth?" I think it is probable that in his flesh he was none of these things. By the Spirit, he was. By the Spirit, he was loved and he was hated. Had his flesh been the flesh of someone else, along with his brain and his experiences, it is possible that he would've blended in with a crowd (after all, while many of us including myself might possibly attribute this to some supernatural action, the Scriptures DO make reference to him walking through a crowd and blending in when people were seeking to kill him). Rather, his Spirit made him beautiful to those who loved him, as well as hideous to those who hated him. His Spirit was charismatic...but was his personality, of the flesh, charismatic? Maybe he didn't have a personality in the flesh...
