Genesis 4:
Perhaps a bit, but he was mostly angry at Abel and God's preference for his brother's offering.
Cain was angry at God's preference.2b Now Abel was a keeper of sheep, and Cain a worker of the ground. 3In the course of time Cain brought to the LORD an offering of the fruit of the ground, 4 and Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, 5 but for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell.
God was still nice to Cain and advised him. I don't think Cain was angry at God. He was angry at Abel because Abel did better than him. He was angry enough to kill his brother:6 The LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry, and why has your face fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is contrary to you, but you must rule over it.”
1 John 3:8 Then Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let us go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.
Even after the murder, God was merciful to Cain, Gen 4:12b why did he murder him? Because his own deeds were evil and his brother’s righteous.
Was Cain angry at God?15b “If anyone slays Cain, then Cain will be avenged sevenfold.” And the LORD placed a mark on Cain, so that no one who found him would kill him.
Perhaps a bit, but he was mostly angry at Abel and God's preference for his brother's offering.
