Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Was Ardipithecus a Human Ancestor?

No, the chart says nothing aboiut geography but show one common ancestor for what became Mongoloid, Negroid stock to the one direction, further dividing over time as shown, while the caucasian stock also differentiated further.
I'm not sure how old you chart is (Fig.4) but I'm guessing it was drawn before we had genetic evidence.

..."genetic evidence" of what?

There is no genetic evidence that Modern Homo sapiens is related directly to the 22 now extinct species thought to be members in the ascent of modern man.

The only useful genetic evidence supports Genesis 6:2-4.

Gen 6:2-4 says, one line of man's ascent, (the sons of god), mated with the line through Cain, the mere daughters of man.

That genetic evidence supports Genesis, and tells us that we today carry genes from Neanderhal man.

Aside from Africans (and possibly a few native Austalians), all ethnicities have Neanderthal DNA.

Non-Africans Are Part Neanderthal, Genetic Research Shows - ScienceDaily.

The people of Oceania and South-East Asia also have the DNA of a new group of hominins called denisovans.

The chart is wrong.

Phyloheny and genetics between living human racial groups don't need DNA from mitochondrial Eve in order to determine their relationship by haplogroup.

Caucasions stem from Asians.

Yep...

Genesis 6

1And it came to pass, when men (through the line of Cain) began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2That the sons of God (men through the line of Seth and Enoch) saw the daughters of men (Neanderthals) that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen 7:21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

You cannot account for Neanderthal or Denisovan afer the flood without being 100% contrary to what the story actually says.

Or, we can understand the story the way Kant distinguished between what visions we Modern men form in our head and the things they represent externally to us.

In other words, when only one Homo sapiens, Noah, existed in a world full of this species Neanderthal, then the animals, fowl, and everything were called and understood, and envisioned by them.

When the Neanderthals became extinct, the dominant species, Modern man, recreated the world for himself mentally:

...and of beasts that are not clean, (all life forms external to yourself), by two, the male and his female (as envisioned in your mind).
