And as for Mr Cain, besides his backing by the Koch brothers.........there is really not much to dislike about the man. He got backbone for sure......and will be an excellent leader from whichever position he achieves in his political career, even as POTUS. A Cain/Paul ticket would be the Republicans ONLY chance at change.

Although I still prefer to allow Obama to try to continue to dig us out of this hole, w/o hurting the lower middle/lower class.......but w/o cooperation, there will be no compromise. The hole will be dug deeper as we have seen starting with the 01 taxcuts, and the 06 and 08 and 2010 stimuli.

I'd bet most of us would throw that 300-1200 check right back at Pres Bush if we knew it would lead to such drastic deficit. When we got the checks we dancing in the aisles of Walmart, Kohls, the Mall etc.....only 3 months later, we were attacked, the money was spent, and the digging began.

Unless the tax situation is fixed, the disparity between the wealthiest and the lower middle classes narrowed, I'd say the hole we began in the early 80s when we began borrowing from the dragon, will be seeing light at the end of the tunnel somewhere near Beijing in 2015.......if we survive that long.

Kinda hard for me to get worked up about the Koch brothers "conspiracies" since it seems to have come in response to the Soros/NWO "conspiracies" ... but let's don't go down that road, cuz we really don't need to. As Herman Cain said, Wall Street didn't write the "failed economic policies", the White House did.

Be careful what you wish for, Charles ... by any account, Obama has the most obviously corrupt administration in many years. Herman Cain makes no bones about the "Democrat Plantation" either. We have become a nation of tyranny ... and some of us are not gonna let that happen. We're not gonna let that happen."

I agree with ya, there's something wrong with the tax code when the bottome 51% of taxpayers pay no income tax, and the largest corporation pays no income tax. Those in the upper middle end up shouldering the entire tax burden. Herman Cain's right on target there, too. Eliminate the arcane progressive tax structure, which is so riddled with loopholes that no one understands them other than certain lobbyists who wrote them. Even the IRS fails at providing consistent advice to individuals and corporations. Meaning ends up being determined in court, it ever at all.

I'm rooting for Herman. One things for sure ... the next few months won't be dull. Always walk toward the truth, Charles.

I read in Newsmax that 43% of people earning 250K+/yr pay zero income tax, federal or state.
Like you said, there are so many loopholes, that obviously 43% of the wealthiest americans are able to finagle their way out of paying even anything, much less their share.

i am still in favor of any income level tax base, but even the lower 10 should pay SOMETHING, and definitely, the upper 10 should bear a larger burden since they are funding the militaries which protect them and their lucrative endeavors.

The poorest among us really wouldn't be burdened too much if say Commie China, and Commie Russia were to unite with the US, and reform us as a U"COMMIE"SA....they'd continue to get their general welfare, but it would be the wealthy and the uppermiddle class that would seriously be suicidal if such a thing were to occur.

Seems the people need to unite on common ground against the oligarchy and socialist state we see forming from both sides of the aisle.

But like you said....keeping an eye on the TRUTH aint always easy when the enemy blinds us and tempts us to take sides.

I'm Bill O's biggest fan......but I could take or leave FnF's. Waste of space IMO.....the 3 stooges of the news. They really twisted Hank's words that morning, and I like the way Hank came out with this song, but he shoulda coined Johnny Paychecks "Take this job and shove it"......Hank got paid good for his MNF performances, but he pretty much put them on the map as far as ratings.
