I moved this thread, because I don't want a New Christian that did not hear bells and whistles, or have a warm glow when he/she became saved to question their salvation.

The point of the thread was to share your experience, not to debate on if it was valid or not. Since the flow of the thread seems to be moving towards debate, I moved it here.

Have at it!

Nobody's telling them to have a grand emotional experience stogus. It's just that you shouldn't be exactly the same person that you were before you got saved. If you still love to sin and have no revulsion over it, if you don't care about becoming like Christ, if you don't desire to spend time with God, then maybe your salvation wasn't real. Those are all emotions. The Christian life is not just an intellectual experience; Jesus had emotions, too, and there is nothing wrong with them. They can tell you a lot about your soul.

I became saved the moment I gave my life to Christ, however my "transformation" has been a long process and is still on going. I did not have an immediate switch in my being, but at I did fall under God's Grace, and was saved from damnation.

Like I said, everybody is different and just because the experience of salvation is not the same for all, does not negate salvation.

Just my opinion...

I think the best way to tell if you or anybody else has really been saved or born again is by their fruit...

John 15:5
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit ; apart from me you can do nothing"

Matthew 7
16 "By their fruit you will recognize them . Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit."
