  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Sorry, Shel. Really, I am. But I'm not going to make it that easy.

This is my country. I not coward enough to cut and run.

I'm staying and I'm going to make this country better. I'm going to force it stand up to its own ideals, standards and history and make it the world leader in the export of freedom and prosperity.

Just because we got a guy whose mistaken the voices of Rumsfield and Chaney for the voice of God doesn't mean I'm going to leave, it just means I have to work harder.

Sorry if it makes your life miserable. Its not really my intention.

But I'm firmly rooted in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

Which is now Atlanta but used to be Milwaukee and before that, Boston.
(Ok, its a little cerebeal, just think about it)

Okay, that's it, Charlie! NO VOTE FOR YOU!!!

Your accusation lacks credibility and relevance to the topic at hand.

Instead of making emotional allegations, let's logically discuss the real issue here.

Huh.

That's a really interesting one. Under what circumstances would he have done it?

How incredibly unfair, indeed! Maybe then we would move forward with forgiving every debt on the planet, consigning our military to UN control, growing marajuana plants in everyone's backyard and solving world hunger. Oh for the day I long to hold hands with Bin Laden and sing Cum By Ya.

Here's one possible solution. Maybe we could just let the whole world vote in U.S. presidential elections. Possibly then we could quell any global dissatisfaction with American foreign policy and the American presidency. I mean, at least if the whole world had an actual voice at the American ballot box, it might balance this immense and unjust disparity of only Americans having an actual voice in American presidential elections. It all just seems so unfair the way it is, with only Americans allowed to vote in U.S. elections, while critics of the American President being relgated to the sidelines and limited to expressing their views only on venues like Internet boards, etc. It's all just so . . . unfair.

Ok folks, I've been browsing bits and pieces of this thread, and I see some personal attacks. I want those to stop. If they do not stop, I'll be handing out edits and/or warnings, depending on my mood. If the thread devolves any further, I'll be left with no choice but to close it for good.

Your source of truth is what? Are you there? Do you have any American family members there?

Look, I don’t care to discuss this with someone who doesn’t live in the US but loves to put it down.

There is one basic fundamental thing you just do not understand- you just can’t go killing Americans and expect their not to be war and please don’t post 9/11 is not Iraq and blah, blah, blah. I don’t care.

Now, I do not wish to carry this on any further, this belongs in the political forum, not here. I do not post in the political forum for a reason. I am done with this.

You don’t like the US and what the US does, then by all mean, don’t live here and stay where you are at. That seems simple enough of a solution to me.

Gwingert,

There is no proof that Saddam was working on nuclear weapons, i.e. WMD. But there is proof that terrorist groups were allowed to gather in Iraq. Saddam supported them as long as they were anti-America. Even the Democrats know this is true. The sad part is that the terrorist groups were not just any anti-American group... They were planning 9/11 between 2 til 3 years or so. Of course, Iraq and Saddam were not the only supporters of the Terrorist groups within the Middle East.

The WMD's were not the only reason that the Bush Administration decided to declare war on Iraq. Saddam Hussein was a horrible dictatorship. He reign was with tyranny and as far as I'm concerned the people of Iraq needed to liberated...

My hope, when all of this is done, is that the Iraqi people are truly free to make their decisions through "voting". Maybe at first the Sunnis (SP?) will have the most power, but if the Iraqi government is set up in a Democratic form or even in a Socialistic form, the people will figure out that the true power lies with them in how they vote. Instead of having constant civil war or warring against different religions, they will vote on things and solve their problems in a peaceful way. Atleast, that is my object way of thinking. I could be wrong, I don't know the future, I don't believe that you nor anyone else here or in politics - truly knows the future. But what I do know is that we couldn't sit on our hands and do nothing. We had done nothing far too long.

Someone compared the U.S. to Nazi Germany... your comparison is incorrect. You should of compared Nazi Germany to Iraq. It was Iraq who had a horrible, murderous foul dictatorship who rule of tyranny needed to end. Ask the Iraqis who live here in the US... Most of them rejoiced when the US invaded Iraq and put the Hussein tyranny down. Granted there has been many lives lost, many children made orphans and yes, this could lead to these children growing up hating America and all that we stand for... But I nor anyone else truly knows if this will happen or not. I cannot, nor you or anyone, predict the future.

What I'm also hoping for is eventually when the Iraqi people realize that they truly have freedom, even at a great price that they have paid for it... As we Americans and the Brits have paid for their freedom... Hopefully, in time, this will aid to them understanding that with the price of freedom comes death and heartache, but eventually, they will rise above it and will be better and stronger and enjoy their right to liberty, freedom and justice for all.

So what you're saying is due to the fact Americans died in 9/11 there was going to be some killing done by Americans in return and the fact that the 100,000 Iraqis dead up until now had no direct or indirect part in the New York disaster its too bad...??????????

Take it to mean what ever you want it to mean, point is, this is not your country, so us murderous Americans who have all this blood on our hands really isn’t your concern until we go into your country and begin killing you, then worry over us kill happy Americans, okay??

I think that the bottom line is that Islam has declared war on us and will keep its promises. The destruction of Israel is not their only goal; world domination is. A knowlege of history is essential to understanding the present and the future may well be seen in Ezechiel:

http://www.drbo.org/chapter/31038.htm

In the meantime, we must defend ourselves.

The war on terror is really the war on radical Islam.

Exactly, DT. But you needn't add "radical". Islam itself is fundamentally anti-infidel. That doesn't mean most Moslems know it or live that way. In fact, "most Moslems" must make it clear to the extremists that they reject aggression as a part of Islam. That is the ONLY non-miltary solution to the problem.

There is some movement in that direction. Guess who has called for and facilitated "most Moslems" discussing this issue? Answer: Pope John Paul.

This is an excerpt from a review by Steve Wood on a book by Jewish convert, Roy Schoeman. He was recently on the Journey Home with Marcus Grodi. I just got the book and there's a lot of amazing info. But from Roy's website, I give you this:

What really shocked me was what Roy said about the Nazi-Moslem connection. I didn’t realize that Hitler worked hand-in-hand with the Moslems to wipe out Jews. Roy proves it.

Consider this. Hitler had a close relationship with the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Hajj Amin al-Husseini. They had a lot in common since they both hated the Jews. Husseini even organized Moslem SS troops for Hitler in Bosnia, and these SS troops committed horrendous atrocities against the Jews. They also destroyed Christian churches.

Husseini was glad to cooperate with Hitler on the condition that Hitler would allow him to take care of the Jews in the Middle East after the war. Of course, he assumed that Hitler would win the war. Hitler had no problem with Husseini’s condition.

You may not have heard of Husseini before – unless you’re a history scholar – but I’m sure you’ve heard of his nephew [Note: indirect, not direct, nephew]. His nephew is frequently in the news. His name is Yassar Arafat. To this day, Arafat considers his uncle a “hero.”

Another Moslem-Nazi leader was Khayrallah Tulfa, who led a pro-Nazi coup in Iraq in 1941. In 1947, a 10-year-old nephew lived in his house, which consisted of a large living room and small bedrooms. A huge portrait of Hitler dominated the living room. I’m certain you’ve heard the nephew’s name: Saddam Hussein

You probably remember that Anwar Sadat was known as an Arab “moderate.” Well, there’s definite proof that Sadat idolized Hitler. If Arab “moderates” admire Hitler, can you imagine how the extremists feel about him?

Bestseller in Moslem world today: Hitler’s Mein Kampf

I didn’t realize that the popularity of Nazism has never ceased in the Moslem world and is as strong as ever. In 1999, Hitler’s Mein Kampf ranked sixth on the bestseller list of Palestinian Arabs. The preface to the Arabic edition of Mein Kampf says, “Adolf Hitler is one of the few great men … a man who bequeathed an ideological heritage whose decay is inconceivable.”

We all know that Hitler was evil, but did you know that the chief exorcist of Rome says it’s certain that Hitler was personally consecrated to Satan? That’s right. Roy verifies that in his book. The Nazis emerged out of an occult brotherhood that included widespread homosexuality.

Roy makes an interesting observation about the spiritual origin of Islam. He points out that Islam is the only world religion that began after God had revealed the fullness of truth through Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. He asks whether this bloodthirsty religion has a human or spiritual inspiration. If it has a spiritual origin, then what kind of spirit is behind it? Good or evil? Draw your own conclusion.

I already knew that the Islamic fanatics hate the Jews. But I had no idea of the Moslem-Nazi connection until I learned about it from Roy. Nor did I fully appreciate the central role the Jews must play before the Second Coming – and how Satanic forces are frustrating and thwarting that plan.

You can be sure of this. Satan doesn’t want the Jews to become Catholic. But Jesus Christ does. What we’re seeing is a titanic struggle between principalities and powers – between the forces of good and the forces of evil.

Do you understand now, why we need to defeat radical Islam?

I just wish that Bush would admit the mistakes he made in this war. If he did, they wouldn't hide the good reasons to go to war. I'm still not sure about the war after Veritas' post or anyone elses, it's just so hard when people for both sided have to be so rude and strecth the truth.
