Wanting to know more about the Salvos.

Hi guys, i was wondering if you could help inform me about the Salvos. For example are you guys generally right, central or left wing? What is the general concession among salvos concerning matters such as homosexuals, other religions, etc? Is there a general sort of 'rules' about that? Any information you have would be great as i looked on the Salvos web site (Australia) and couldn't find that much about the church aspect, though i did just skim it. Thanks guys and thank god for the Salvos!

There is one thing I would like to ask...
Some years ago, I worked with an women from the Salvation Army; she was captain, and was married. Then her husband left her for another women (young & blonde). When he did that, they became both degraded - I mean, not the husband and his mistress, but the husband and my workingmate... HE sinned and SHE became degraded!
She took all this very hard, and lately she left the Army. I got the impression that her being punished for what he did, was her main reason for leaving...
But I never understood why she was degraded...
Could You explain?
And is it still common to degrade the victim part in a divorce?
I have the greatest respect for all good that the Army does, but I can not get this making sense...
