Has anybody else watched this show? It's from the fifties, it featured stories about Swamp Fox, Elfego baca, Davy Crockett, etc always introduced by Walt Disney himself. It was a great show, I used to watch them all the time when I was a kid (I'm only 25, but it used to come on late on Disney when i was little). Also does anybody know how to get a hold of the DVDs without paying Amazons outrageous price?

I love these shows. Sadly they aren't in print so you have to pay the outrageous price

Try eBay, Half Price Books, garage sales, etc. You'll probably get more responses if you ask this on a Disney oriented message board like the Dis or WDWMagic.

Yes, I like those. Of course, I like a lot of "retro" stuff. I don't think I have any actual DVDs of Walt Disney Presents, in particular, but remember taping some old things some years ago when I had Disney Channel from their Vault Disney "midnight matinees", and a couple of these might have been among this stuff.

Along with all of that, I'm just happy with anything I can find at the thrift stores (hey, not everything at a thrift store is junky!) and anything I can find for a reasonable price at WalMart and such. I tend to be on the lookout for things they rarely, if ever, show on television, and this type of fare seems to be among them.

Haven't seen it, but we have been watching one of my favorite Disney shows, "The Scarecrow of Romney Marsh". Most people may remember it as a movie, not a TV show, but the movie is made up of clips from the show.

I've also looked on Amazon for "Scarecrow of Romney Marsh" and it was around $300 (yes, you heard me correctly).

I also miss the Disney nature shows with Will Geer and, later, Denver Pyle.

Disney has several channels now and if they had one that just showed the old stuff, we might even start watching TV again.
