Maybe you need to be here in the States before you can really make that judgement brother.

Let's not start the anti-American rhetoric. But I do agree with Theo.

Joe, by the same token, you need to be outside the States too....to better appreciate the 'rest of the world' outside the eyes of CNN.

As qualifiers, I'm a staunch "Canuck" but with great appreciation that our Canadian economy heavily relies on the US. I also believe that Canadian soldiers should be side by side in Iraq with US soldiers (but that's a different topic altogether).

That being said, I've had to good fortune to travel globally and have long last finally understood that Canada/the US aren't the center of the globe, as much as we'd like it to be. The 1997 Asian crisis which impacted the world proved that. Among the plausible causes, many 'experts' have pinpointed Thailand, of all things!

Also, I've always believed, that I couldn't be happy living outside Canada (yes, I know, wherever God wants you to be is where you'll be happiest). But until I went outside my borders, I truly appreciate other countries and other cultures. Now, if the Lord leads, I'd live in London at a moment's notice.

I didnt mean for that to sound as though I thought he was Anti-American, if i did, I apologize. Actually I have traveled to different places around this globe, so I do have an idea(i may not be 100% correct) of what would happen if our economy collapsed totally. Remember the great depression? It was world wide, not just here in the States.
By the way, IM NOT a Cnn advocate, have no use for the biasness on that network..lol :)
No, I dont think the US should be the center of this world, im just stating a fact of what happens if our economy collapses...In the same way, if the economy in Britain or China TOTALLY collapsed, it would effect us here too...We see it everyday by the stockmarket..I dont know about you, but I own stock, and lots of times, my stock goes down cause of something that happens half way around the world...

God Bless,
Joe

Hey Joe,

No apologies necessary! I'm in agreement on all your points. BTW, isn't the rest of the world pretty cool too?

first off let me say, NO i dont think Walmart is babylon, but for some reason this popped in my head today.
Think of what would happen to the worlds economy if Walmart would collapse?
Just about the entire world depends upon Walmart in some way--from shopping to jobs...
Just something to ponder.

Thanks
It's just a shop and it is not even international. I don't really understand your point or its Biblical connection/significance. (Must be one of those "only-in-america" things, as we often say)
You have nice day now
Bless Ya
Col :) <><

I never have shopped at Walmart but I can see how it would be devestating to our ecomony if it did go under, It employees alot of people and would be a hugh loss to our Nation, but for years we made it without Walmart and I am sure we could recover from the loss of a large chain like that one.
but if Joe Brand, Macy's, or Landerys ever closed I think I would be devestated.
