  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

ATTENTION: Please keep discussion to information available from trailers/tv commercials for the movie. I know that there's a book out that tells the story, but for the sake of all of us being able to discuss this, NO SPOILERS. Thank you.

Who else is excited for this movie? It looks fantastic. :D

I cannot tell y'all how excited I am about WALL-E. It's look it's going to so good! I think the Wall-E is probably the CUTEST Pixar animated character they've ever created.

I heard that the story of WALL-E was actually created some time ago, around the same time as the first original Pixar films were coming out. Toy Story and A Bug's Life, ect. But they decided not to film it and went with something else, I think it was Monsters Inc. or something. My point is, if this is true, then I have very high hopes for it. Because right now it seems Pixar is lost their special touch. They've really come out with some stinkers lately. There's something kind of...timeless about their first few films. They're original, they're clever and fresh, and they're so heartwarming, almost to the point where they nearly make you cry. Anyway, I really think WALL-E will be great, considering they created it years ago when they were on such a roll with great films that are now, in my opinion, classics.

Anyhow...lol... I'm pretty excited about it.

Ratatouille a stinker? I mean, it wasn't my favorite, but to call it a stinker is vastly misjudging it. The Incredibles a stinker? Hardly. The only recent one that I will possibly grant you is Cars, but even that was enjoyable considering it is, well, talking cars.

We took my son to see it the day it came out.

It was very sweet. Full of visual storytelling (not much dialogue.) My son didn't love it as much as he did Cars, but hubby and I thought it was very well made.

And as always, there is a Pixar short before the movie starts which was just wonderful.

We also went to see this opening day. I thought it was a really good movie. I was concerned about the little ones understanding it, with so little dialogue in the beginning. I think the movie is more geered to kids 6 and up. I did enjoy it though and thought it was very well done.

My 6yr. old granddaughter could barely manage to stay awake the last 40 minutes of the 7:30 PM showing, and finally did zonk-out for the last 15-20 minutes. Packed theater was very quiet through all but the 3-4 cute scenes, and I yawned through most of it.

The Pixar short "Presto" about a magician, his magic hat and his hungry rabbit, before WALL-E starts, far surpasses this snooze-fest,as does the amazing Kung Fu Panda. I have no intention of buying this DVD,because we couldn't go through the torture of watching it again!

I barely got through Ratatouille, which is weird, considering I personally love to cook. But I mean, come on! A rat...who cooks?? What the heck? Okay, It wasn't terrible, but definitely forgettable in my opinion. The Incredibles is pretty cute, not one of the best, but pretty cute. Cars....geez, I never saw that one. Lol. No thanks.

My opinion of Wall-E is a good one. I absolutely LOVED it! I thought it was wonderful, fresh and clever. I consider it and still Toy Story the best ones they've made, with A Bug's Life and Monsters Inc. following close behind.

My family loved Wall-E. I was quite proud that my two and four year olds sat fascinated through the first half of the movie (when you see it you'll know why).

I found it touching and well made. My seven and nine year olds went to see it again with their cousins :)
