  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I love that verse. Thank you.
What does it mean for Christ to dwell in our hearts by faith? It may be here that many get the erroneous idea that Jesus lives in our hearts. But even Paul would know that it is impossible for the bodily Christ to live in our hearts. The important idea is the idea of faith. Faith implies knowledge and confidence. If I have faith in Christ then I have faith in who He is, not only in the fact of His existence. To have faith in who He is is to have faith in His essential qualities. To have faith in His essential qualities is to desire to make them mine -- to internalize them. And if I internalize the essential qualilties of Christ it is as if He is living in me. Maybe we should stop asking people to invite Jesus into their hearts and encourage them to help them to get to know Him better. For if we do not know Him we will never know what He is like and will be unable to emulate Him.
