Wait What? A demon behind my thoughts and actions?

This is another confusing one.

I'm constantly told that a demon is behind my thoughts and actions.

I just cant seem to grasp such a concept.

That I'm a utility for the demonic kingdom.

I'm born again!

If I share something with someone. E.g. Here look at this testimony of a Christian in a similar circumstance to you, I end up reiterate it twice.

Then the other Christian will say that's demons talking through you because I'm trying to control them?

Or,

I get angry and upset, someone will say its demons!

Demons can't talk through you or possess you, unless you turn from your salvation and start rejecting christ again but you would know this better than I, however they can subtly influence you, most people are at least somewhat demon-influenced through Satan's broadcast of his evil attitudes and are enticed to sin (see Ephesians 2:2; Revelation 12:9). A quick glance at society reveals a perverse influence to pursue wickedness. An evil thought is introduced into the human mind, and human desire is motivated to pursue the yearning: "But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death" (James 1:14-15). Demon influence begins with subtle suggestion and enticement, but it can later lead to a person's becoming demon possessed, captive to the Devil, and as his slave, sinking into deep degradation.

It is not best to always some sin is from Satan, though it can be his temptations, we are equally capable of sin.

I know how frustrating this is, because many people are so certain of their communications of God and what is their thinking and what is right, so sometimes people accidentally assume that what someone says is from the Devil, it could be your own flaws as a human or it could be influence, should pray and fast if it a serious problem.

The ones who are telling you that are blatant liars. The Holy Spirit does not accuse people of such things. So if it is not the Holy Spirit then it has to be another spirit, and we know that the devil is a liar. So anyone accusing you of being motivated by a demon because you might behave in someways that doesn't meet their standards is a despicable liar who is listening to a lying demon and believing what it says to them. If there is a demon behind anyone's behaviour it is behind those who are accusing you, Tell them that you are a child of God and the devil cannot come near you. Stand up to these evil liars and tell them very assertively that you will not listen to their demonic lies so they can get right away from you and shut their lying mouths! And that will be loving and praising them!

So If I retaliate in the same manner nothing will come of it except division.

Primarily I'm referring to my conversations with other Christians.

This kind of behaviour in other Christians drives me to anger and wanting to abandon any further fellowship.

If these people who call themselves your brothers and sisters are listing to lying spirits, they are not representing Christ. We always have to deal with the devil loudly and aggressively. You must publicly rebuke them and tell them in front of everyone that you refuse to listen to the lying spirits in them that are speaking condemnation to you. If the pastor and elders of your church try to discipline you, then you tell them in no uncertain terms that you are not going to listen to the devil under any circumstances and if they are going to side with these liars, then this is not the church for you, Then you can safely brush the dust off your shoes and walk out and find a church down the road that better represents the Holy Spirit and Christ and where the people will deal with you according to Galatians 5,

You need to know the difference between religious hypocrites and genuine believers. Genuine believers would never say those things to you, but religious hypocrites would. Religious hypocrites are not your brothers and sisters in Christ so you don't have to comply with them at all.

I'm not immune myself? none of us are if they can oppress if not possess a born again.

It brings me much fear and turmoil.

All this is relatively new to me. I thought/believed demon oppression or possession was rare.

Now it is common as McDonald's.

This is my 12th year Born again and it's all happening this year.

Don't worry about the book of Enoch. It's entirely man made. You might as well just stick to the posts on this forum, they don't pretend to be other than they are, posts by your fellow human beings, and therefore already a leg up in the honesty department.

Its my reverence. To be told I'm an instrument of satan cuts me deep.

And I react in anger because I'm sick of being told off, or rebuked, or in condemnation by Christian humans appealing to "God said".

I cant handle it. It makes me angry.

Because I tend to believe their claims, because I fear God.

What you are experiencing is a demonic condemnation bomb. The anxiety and confusion is the evidence of that. God is not a God of confusion, and peace is a fruit of the Spirit. So your lack of peace is being caused by a demonic attack. You need to decide whether God is going to deliver you in the environment that you are in, or that he is going to deliver you out of it. If a group of people were giving me condemnation bombs like that, I would leave that church and never go back. I would find another church where members love Jesus and who are genuine believers. It sounds like there is a group of religious hypocrites being motivated by a demonic religious spirit in the fellowship where you are at. I don't know whether the pastor and elders are a part of it or whether they are even aware of what is going on. If the pastor and elders are not aware, then you can tell him or her that as long as members of his church are attacking you with condemnation bombs you are going to walk out of his church and will warn everyone you meet of the dangers of going to that church. That might jog him and his elders into action. If the pastor will not listen to you, then treat that church as a synagogue of satan and get your asp out of there quick!!

Oscar's given some great advice and I'm not sure what more I can offer at this point other than to say that I know what it feels like to be in that state of trying to figure out which voices in our heads are good and which one's are bad.


There are many spiritually prideful people who attend Churches and they do not realize how judgmental and wretched they truly are. Evil spirits work through them like tools. It's best to avoid them. James 4:11-12

It's actually physically nauseating to be around uber judgemental people because they're so possessed of their own perfection that there is literally nothing you could ever do or say that would change their misguided first impression of you. They are also offended by anything you try to do or say because of such judgements they've already made. This is an extremely evil mindset for them to have, and it is not your fault at all.

Basically, there's an entire realm of existence where spiritual warfare is taking place and we can't really see it or interact with it in any meangingful way. It's where the angels and demons fight for our souls. As true believers in Christ, we are saved from the likes of demonic possession, but we may still be influenced by the negative actions that result from events that transpire around us in this realm. It's important take it easy and not jump to blaming yourself.

I used to get mad anxiety because all of these ideas would pop into my head and tell me that I'd missed so many opportunities and thinking this was would keep me in a loop of self-defeat and it really sucked. Worse, I actually believed I deserved to be in that loop. But after lots of prayer and supplication I've now been strengthened in a way to recognize ideas that have evil origin and intent for my life.

The best way to fortify yourself is to be praying always and always being thankful and remembering that Christ loved us so much that he was willing to die for us when we were sinners. Romans 5:7-9

So yeah, it's really confusing internally sometimes when we self-examine and question things like we're supposed to. But like Oscar quoted, God is not the author of confusion. When you get to the point where you can't tell which way is up or which side is left or right, just remember that is the time you need to pray and remember how much Jesus loves us and let things go, even when it feels like you're going to uncover something important, because that's a loop of enticement and it's designed to torment.

Bring everything back to Him and try to remain calm when you get that fiery feeling that you need to keep on in that line of thought and follow it to some logical conclusion that's been concocted by demonic forces to keep you in a state of anxiety and self doubt and separation.

We don't need to know everything about this realm or about demons in order to be safe from them. We just need to pray and be in His Word. Then we will be able to rebuke demons in our minds by remembering scripture and we then realize the lies that are concocted and pretty soon they won't be able to lie to you anymore.

The disciples recognised demons in others.

But its never explain what they are!

Legion, what is a legion of demons doing here on the earth?
