We are all God's children. What you specify is that not all His children avail themselves of His saving grace.
As for the accident of our birth? See above.

My friend, I'm not sure you read the passage from the Gospel of John. It says that those who receive Christ are made children of God. It does not say that anyone else becomes a son of God.

Yes, I'm aware that Mohammad, whom you claim to be a prophet, rebuked the notion of God as a Father. But to me, it doesn't matter what opinion Mohammad espoused in the Quran.

So then, we were born as children of the devil, sons of disobedience, and destined for wrath.
To answer your other question, yes I am "catholic" in the sense that I am part of the same universal church as you. But if you meant to ask if I am Roman Catholic, then the answer is that I am not.
Um, what is the difference between a Catholic and a Christian

Hmmm. Guess I will have to try and overcome with the help of the Spirit of Christ, and I will get no help from Mohammad on that.

Revelation 21:7
"He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. ;)
27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

And how does this infer that non-Christians can become sons of God?
