  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I recently got a Wacom Bamboo Splash tablet, I made this little piece in a few minutes trying out the software. I used Autodesk Sketchbook Express 2011 and then ran it through Inkscape to add a few filters. Personally I feel it looks too "flat" and maybe that is due to the perspective and lack of detail. I may work on it some more or start from scratch soon.

Wacom tablet user here 2!

It took a while to get used to using a graphics tablet, but after a while I've just started to find my 'wings' with it.

I still though find it relatively difficult to start original sketches here and there though, mainly because I can't see the entire drawing without zooming out (which leads to serious lack of detail).

I use GIMP on linux which works perfectly for what I do. I'm also working on fumbling around with MyPaint, which is another pretty good FOSS arting tool.
