I have been hearing voices for a while. Now, they are slowly getting a bit worse. I can't tell my parents, because all they want to do is put me in the hospital. I don't know what to do. My doctor won't be able to see me for at least a month.. *sigh*

being hospitalized isn't the end of the world. you're surrounded by a team of psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses who can monitor you and see what's truly up with your mind.

just because you are hearing voices doesn't mean they will hospitalize you. are you sure you have only bi-polar?? there are numerous illnesses out there that include hearing voices. if they are going on outside of you, then it could be schizophrenia.. if they are voices inside, it could be bi-polar, or a disassociative disorder, or anything else... (sorry, i seem to be lapsing into a "diagnosis" mode...) either way, you need to get to the doctor, so tell your parents.

they can't help you if they don't know anything is off scew, or different than usual...

Any one with a mental health illness can hear voices, even bp's. Please find someone you trust to tell that will help you find the assistance you need. Without help this will only get worse over time. Prayers!

Huni, I have been in the same place as you. They won't necessarily have to hospitalize you. I have been hospitalized and to be honest, I benifited more with just medication and weekly therapy then when I was in the hospital. Find someone who you can trust and tell them. I will be praying for you!
