  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

No. Flinstones are frequently used for women who cannot keep down regular Prenatal vitamins. All Prenatal vitamins that I have seen have had at least 4000U of Vitamin A which is about 60% of the recommended daily allowance. I seriously doubt that Flinstones has more than that. So I would not worry if I were you. Just don't take too many of any multivitamin(like more than 1-2 of the childrens or more than 1 of the adults)

Vit. A in Massive overdose quantities is bad. The chances of you getting that amount in Any multi vit/min. is pretty slim. ;)

Also, it was Snythetic Vit.A that was the problem, not natural (like in fish oils, especially Cod Liver Oil).

Yes an overabundance of synthetic A can be harmful for the fetus, but there wouldnt be an overabundance in one multi-vitamin or one pre-natal, or 2 flintstones. And jgonz is right..you could take cod liver oil which has LOTS of vit A in it..because its natural..not synthetic.

Yeah I'd heard about the synthetic being a problem, and as soon as DH found out I was pregnant, he went to getting everything in 100% natural form and organic... etc. It was encouraging really because I needed it anyway with having CD, but he took the initiative and I didn't have to ask, so it was really encouraging.

Vitamin A is naturally occuring in the juices we've gotten, as well as the vitamins/minerals I take. I try really hard to skip out on anything synthetic even before pregnancy... you never know how in the long run it may effect you.
