Sorry, I do realize this is completely off topic, but that's ridiculous. I don't mean to bash what you're saying or anything, supersaint, but Jesus tells us to obey the law, AND says (quite obviously) pay your taxes. Give to Caesar what is his, and to God what belongs to Him. Just because we're Christian doesn't mean we're exempt from the law and obedience to authority. And just because it was formulated by a Communist doesn't mean it's bad...I hate when Christians think that way. Who says that Christians have to be "right-wing" anyway?

Of course. It's ridiculously frustrating to debate someone who doesn't realize that you have to be able to back up your statements with valid proof.
I don't like the guy and I'm a Christian...I don't know about him being a "false prophet," but his arguments and proofs (from what i've seen) are either too irrelevant to refute or have been proven wrong time and time again.
Actually, I was not agreeing with Dr. Hovind about Christians shouldn't pay taxes. I was bringing up what he said about it. I do pay taxes myself. The website that I gave was just talking about the idea behind a progressive income tax that was against God's word. I don't like paying taxes but I do. It's the law. So I do what Jesus said just like in your quote about give to Ceasar his and to God God's. Dr. Hovind has his faults and we have ours.

Also about the his evidence. I really don't think about it much. I do relate his evidence to other Creation Speakers and scientists though. I do find some differences. Another thing in things people come up against him with, they really don't specify in what specific evidence they imply. They just say it as a whole.

But I am testing one of his findings. I'm trying to turn a pickle into stone by process of petrification. Dr. Hovind was talking about this on his seminar, Dinosaurs and the Bible.
I have put a pickle in a jar of water and it supposed to petrify within a year more or less implying that the Great Flood in the Bible helped fossilize and petrify the dinosaurs.

Well good luck with that, chances are you'll end up with a mouldy pickle, how would it petrify if you aren't adding in minerals to form the petrified pickle? The Pickle's bio-matter alone is not going to form stone, it makes no scientific sense (putting something in water does not change the ratio of elements present in pickles)

By the way SuperSaint can you please put everything you have to say in ONE post at a time rather than 3 or more? Each time you post it is followed by another of your own, generally with a gap of only a few minutes (I think at least once the gap was only 1 minute!). So it would be appreciated if you would not spam the thread unnecessarily.

A pickle in a jar of water without any sort of minerals or other elements to introduce stone into the petrification process...? Are you really going to let it sit for a year in order to prove an auxiliary point? I think maybe you should try looking into some of the science of petrification before you start buying trademarked "Hovind Petrification Jars" from his company.

Yeah, good luck with that.

Weren't we talking about ministry???

Apollo, I was just seeing if it was true if that could happen. So I wanted to test it for myself. It wouldn't hurt to try it. U know. And another thing Apollo, I'm not using Hovind's petrification jar. I'm using my own Planter's Sunflower Seeds Jar which I got from Walmart.

We can all appreciate your honesty. This attitude is quite common, and I certainly understand it.

What I don't understand is how strongly people feel about things they don't think about much.
