  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well....let's just give you a bit of background...I am originally from Canada but came to England for university. During my degree I was saved (I come from a non-Christian family/upbringing). Well I finished my degree and was planning on staying in England to work for a few years. Obviously, if I were to work in England, I'd need a work visa.

That brings us up to a little while ago, when I first submitted my application form. I was really quite worried about it because I wasn't sure if I'd filled out the form properly and such. Well after a while of praying about it, it was finally returned to me, with a letter saying that they rejected it because I "hadn't filled out the correct form"...what they'd done is a week after I picked up the form, they changed the form a bit and wouldn't accept the old form.

So, I had to fill out a NEW form and send it in and wait ANOTHER 4 weeks and I really prayed a lot about it and this morning the postman rang the doorbell and Jesus has blessed me with a work visa so I can stay and do His work here in England!

Hallelujah!!!!

Thank you all so much for your prayers and encouraging words, you're all so sweet.

Still don't have a job yet but it will come when it is time.

It has been a blessing NOT having a job yet, though. God has really helped me grow in my faith and in the Giftings that He has given me.

But thanks again, you're all stars!
