Virus attack!

Anyone else getting virus attacks when opening CF?

It is getting quite regular now - all sorts of virus warnings are flashing up just after I open CF.






PS I have told the web boffins but no response to date.

Another handfull of virus attacks this morning with both IE8 and Norton warning about this site wanting to download virus-laden files to my computer!

Anyone else getting this?

Nothing here on Opera with scripting enabled or disabled w/Kaspersky.

Its spyware and its infected in your browser, not CF. Norton is falsely giving you a "virus" warning. I recommend SpyBot or Adaware to remove and clean your browsers. If this goes unchecked you may have personal information (like credit card numbers) leaking out via trojans.

There is someone out there that still uses both IE & Norton...

IE is the most widely used browser, about 75% of the market. Moreover, IE8 is a significant contender in the browser wars (but I prefer mozilla for its customization).

Norton is also the largest protection suite used in the market.

Is there still someone? Yeah, lots of someones.

I use both IE8 or Mozilla FF, depending which laptop / desktop I am using. I use Norton 2010 for all our computers and have no problems with it - its latest version has a number of improvements to protect from all manner of problems, which is why its flagging up the virus that comes in between 0800 and 0845 most days (but never appears when the program is booted up at other times of the day!). It flags the invasion as being peculiar to the CF site and no other. The OS on this laptop is Win 7 - we also have WinXP on some computers.

That's new - got a virus report on this site this afternoon. The first outside of the usual morning ones, so far! And having posted this I got another!!!!
