  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I think as long as you can distinguish between reality and fiction, they are ok. But there are some out there who get the lines blurred and start applying what they've "learned" in video games to real life. A friend of mine is a good example. He was always a good, christian kid, but as soon as he started playing violent video games, he went out and illegally bought several guns and started causing trouble around town (vandalism, fighting, etc.). It could've just been a coincidence, but I honestly believe it had something to do with the games he was playing and emulating. I play war games on XBox and PS3 from time to time, though, so I can't really judge.

This is video game generation! So be-careful not to get sucked into games. Or finding yourself spending more time with your games than with friends or other activities. If your spending more time on gaming then other things then I would say you would need to really evaluate how you spend your time. So I suggest you ask your friends or family members if you spend to much time on them. This way you can get an honest answer!

Violent or not, spending too much time is not good and not healthy!

There not bad to play, the bible had some very violent situations. Just don't take the game in the wrong way.

Amen to that!...If the Bible was made into a movie...it would be rated NC-17....aka X...in other words...blood, gore, violence, sex, nudity....
