I am curious as to the opinion of other christians. Is violence, per se, of Satan? The biblical God of the OT frequently orders the Israelites to commit violent acts...Jesus himself was violent in throwing the moneychangers from the temple. And isn't the end times supposed to include some pretty violent wars between Jesus and Satan?
So how can the idea that "violence is of Satan" be defended?
Violence is just as much of God as homosexual acts are. Both of them are of Satan.

The Bellman said:What about the violence God frequently orders in the OT? Was that, too, of Satan? If so, that would mean the OT is in error when it attributes the orders for violence to God...
The christian poster replied:
God doesn't order violence. Sometimes things call for punishment, but not flat out violence.
I answered:
God frequently ordered violence in the OT. He had entire cities slaughtered down to the last man. That is violence.
