Some parishes offer a Vigil version for the Assumption and it might be more convenient for me to go to that one but I like the readings for the actual August 15 one. Somehow I feel that would be a better Mass.

I’m going to the one on Friday out of town. Only because my sister wants to go. She is the one that almost succeeded in committed suicide and has been diagnosed as schizophrenic. Believe it or not she is looking into the Catholic Church now so I’m driving in to go with her. She said Mary told her “Catholics are great”. So that started her on this journey. The vigil would fulfill your obligation but if you like the readings better on the actual day then go then. I’m a bit nervous about Friday so if you think about it, say a prayer for us!
