Muhammad was born 570AD. The Great Schism started in 1054AD. So yes, you are certainly correct that Islam started before the Great Schism. So, what does that prove? That Islam can't be heavily influenced by Roman Catholicism?

actually you are proving my point of this whole thread and that is when it comes to Mary, people are quick to judge and condem the Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox for their views on Mary. But when someone points out that many of the "GREAT REFORMERS" held to similiar beliefs and in some cases almost identical beliefs on Mary all of a sudden you get

"Well I don't agree with everything they say" or like you respond "I believe the bible only" etc

I come from a faith called Christianity. Started by a Jewish Man called Emmanuel - meaning God with us, the Holy One of Israel. You may have heard Him referred to as Jesus Christ. Ever heard of Him? He was a sabbath keeper.

I belong to the "protestant" denomination of Seventh-day Adventist's.

There are many opinions as to what EGW meant by the amalgamation of man and beast. Sad to say you have no idea what she wrote, where the quote can be found or how many times she used the word "amalgamation."

I happen to think she meant, at the fall when the thoughts of man where "evil continously", man took on beast like qualities and characteristics. Kind'a like when your wife or girlfriend tells you "your acting like a pig" or "your an animal."

Needless to say I don't worship dead women that have been associated with pagan sun worship for 4,000 years before the Catholic church came into existence.
