What are your views on them? My mom said one time that the whole thing is may just a joke and not real, while at another time saying they could be demons (I've heard many people say that). I definitely believe many of the UFO and alien sightings, a phenomenon that I would say are now almost cliche are wishful thinking and jokes being played and are not legitimate.

I'm not asking if their is life on other planets. That isn't really too far fetched of a claim to make. By "aliens" I am referring to sentient conscious life that has a soul like humans do.

Aside from angels/demons, I don't believe that aliens exist. Think about what that would imply. Since God loves everyone, He'd need to let them know of the way of salvation. (They'd need to be saved because all have sinned.) And since Christ died once for all, God would have to talk to them about the crucifixion, the cross, the resurrection, Jerusalem, Pilate, etc., etc. Would any of this make sense to aliens? I don't think so.

If I meet an alien, I'll come back and retract this reply, but until then I'll stick with my belief that aliens don't exist.

I think it's possible. Even C.S. Lewis said it's a possibility.
I personally don't think they have ever made it to our planet though and I doubt they ever would. I don't think anyone will ever have the technology to travel the distance needed to reach the next "inhabitable planet".

Do you agree with people who say that UFOs are demons?

I've not seen an alien, to my knowledge, nor have I seen evidence to convince me there are any. Possible? Sure, but I take a skeptical look at all such claims.

I will say that I am unwilling to say there is a limit on what our God can create.

Why? A lot of UFO experts say there is a supernatural element to them, and other people say that Jesus's name stops alien abductions.
What would you expect UFO experts to say? If they said they were run-of-the-mill, explainable objects they'd be out of a job, so to speak.

When I was younger I was almost obsessed with UFOs. I read everything I could get my hands on and was very intrigued with what I read and the pictures I saw. Over the years, though, I started seeing explanations and "possible explanations" of the majority of these stories and sightings. Then I factored in my theology (which rules out extra-terrestrial life), and I'm now of the opinion that the sightings could all be explained if we had more information -- or UFOs are a secret governmental program. (Since I'm not a conspiracy guy I lean towards the former.)

What do you think is the most possible explanation of UFO sightings? Whether they are true or not doesn't prove aliens are real or not, but do you think any of them could be legitimate?

That they are authentic and not just a joke or one guy/girl's wishful thinking.
Well, I think there are some "legitimate" Unidentified Flying Objects, but I also think that if we had more information that we'd be able to explain what they are. I think they are earthly, that they are not spiritual, and are most likely common things like helicopters, airplanes, weather balloons, drones, etc. The ones that haven't been explained by natural phenomena are likely (imo) something of this ilk but can't be proven. And again, although I don't currently think this, I wouldn't rule out a secret government program.

Like a military operation or something?

Yeah, but not necessarily for warfare. They may be working on something like what the stealth program was, i.e., it was secret for a while and then they revealed it. They may be working on aircraft that can dart around like helicopters but are jet propelled. They're still going to obey the laws of physics, though ;-)

How would you reply to people like my sister, who use the size of the universe to justify their belief in aliens?

I would reply to her with the same information that I used above. The size of the universe is irrelevant. If there is "soul life" elsewhere they're fallen just like we are. They'd be told of a Redeemer just like we are. The thing is, none of this stuff would make any sense to them. Earth? Suffering Servant? Crucifixion? Jerusalem? Bethlehem? Resurrection? Etc. I just don't think God would give such an impossible to understand message to "soul life", which rules out such life regardless of how large the universe is.

If, If there were aliens, why would you presume that they would have a soul? God said He created 'US' in His image. Not every creature.

Well my take is that 'if' there were/are aliens that it may be possible because on the earth here, God created many things (ie.. life forms, creatures, ect), so it is not outside the realm of possibility to me that God would have created life else where also.

As far as if aliens are demons. I would say that demons are spiritual beings, but it would be possible if they were able to overtake some other life form and inhabit their body or control their minds (like a possession or something).
