Great story, and thank you for bringing this up. I know while it's not a secret, it can be very hard to explain to people.
I have fibromyalgia as well, and believe me - the worst people to get convinced is doctors. They are so closed off sometimes and I feel they are looking at me like "Oh look at her she's overreacting" and heaven forbid you tell them you saw an article, or you heard someone have the same symptoms you have. It's extremely hard to get a doctor to believe you enough to diagnose you. I applaud any doctor who cares for their patient enough to really get to the bottom of it.
Fibromyalgia is an awful thing to live with. There are different strengths of it, some cases are more mild, some are more intense. I feel for anyone who has to deal with any case of it.
Some are good days, some are so bad you hardly want to get out of bed. I have the pains you described and also random pains that will come and stay a few days and then leave.
Sometimes hugs are even painful. I hate telling anyone that because then people treat me like I will crumble, lol. It's bad enough Im in a wheelchair so some already think that if they touch me I might fall into a million pieces, but that too boot is worse.
