  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So yea, first time I have ever ran into this problem.

My friend gave me a Radeon 9200SE video card today. I did all the computer safe stuff (made sure that the card stayed in antistatic bag until the installation, made contact with the chassis at all times during installation, etc etc).
When I installed it, though, I turned on my computer and all it would do was restart, restart, restart; it couldn't even get by POST.

So what is the deal here? I thought I did everything correct o___O

Nope. It is a PCI card and there isn't any molex ports on it.

If I didn't uninstall the other cards video drivers and install the newer cards video drivers, could this have made it act the way it did?
I did try to install the drivers for the newer card, but the installation would go through cause I didn't find any radeon product (I did have both cards in at the same time. My monitor was connected to the older card, but still my computer kept reseting).
