  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What’s your prediction, Sherlock?

They go full Baghdad Bob.

They toe the it’s rigged line to the bitter end and then some regardless of how decisive a victory Biden has should he win.

Should Texas flip blue blowing a, well, Texas sized hole in the Trump re-election campaign I can see them bursting blood vessels on camera with shrieks about voter fraud.

I'm really curious about Texas. First, they've had record early voting turnout, and election day is still over a week away. At this point, the early voting equals 80% of the total votes cast in 2016 -- you have to think that voter turnout will be substantially up this year in the state.

More interestingly to me, per that Forbes article, "Texas has been boosted by record voter registrations and turnout across major metro areas, the state’s Rio Grande Valley near the border with Mexico and especially among young voters." Those new voter registrations are all groups that would tend to vote Democrat.

My gut feeling is that Texas is going to be an incredibly competitive state this year.
