  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

It's a drug to treat impotence in males.

I can't answer whether it is sinful, but i don't see why it would be any more sinful then using other medical drugs.

Of course, some use it to improve sexual performance, when they're not even suffering from impotence. I'm afraid im not qualified to say whether using it for this purpose is sinful.

Viagra is a drug that helps men with erectile dysfunction, whether it be due to them being too old or whatever the cause.

As for it being sinful, I see no reason why it would be. If it helps a couple be intimate when they otherwise would have problems then that's great.

OF COURSE Viagra is immoral to use!

When Viagra came out, its slogan was "Let the dance begin!" And we all know that dancing is immoral, because it leads to fornication!

The current Viagra ads show people getting horns, which symbolizes teh devil!

Finally, Viagra provides an unnatural solution for impotence! Impotence is a punishment by God -- you need to pray for forgivness instead of taking this Satanic little blue pill!

IS A GODLIER LOO.

its a funny one because of course it isn't sinful when used in the right way - we either accept medical solutions for problems, or we don't.... except when we feel the methods providing the medication are unethical.

so do use it for better sex and it can be addictive then ruin the sex life of both people - so should be used with care.

people worry too much!

What is it? And is it sinful to use

It's a little blue pill used to treat erectile dysfunction in men, or for recreational purposes to produce a longer-lasting erection. Some women also find it helpful as an aide to improving sexual arousal and increasing genital sensitivity. Basically it increases blood flow to the genitals.

I don't see why it'd be sinful. Personally I think it's rather fun.

I love this funny little christian myth about sex and pornography addiction. Is it odd that I've only ever heard christians talk about it, rather than, I dunno, doctors and psychologists?

It was origanally an anti-depresent that they found worked for ED.

Actually it was originally intended to treat high blood pressure. And it is used for pulmonary hypertension, which is a rarer type of high blood pressure just involving the lungs. It's also effective for preventing and treating altitude sickness.

The most sinful thing about it IMO is the retail price of about 10 bucks a pill.

Putting it in perspective, the average Viagra dose is the 50 mg tablet. So at $10 a pill, that's 20 cents per milligram. Which extrapolates to $200 per gram. Precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum are priced by the Troy ounce, which is 31.1 grams. So if Viagra was traded like a precious metal, it would cost $6,220 per ounce. I just checked some metals prices. Silver today is $16.30 Gold is $903. Platinum is $1575.

Viagra is 6 times the price of gold, and 4 times the price of platinum.

That's really a shame. Pharmaceutical companies know that consumers are willing to pay top $$ for the ability to have sex (or better sex). Just another way the machine is cashing in on us cattle. /wrists
