Today I went hiking pretty far in the woods today in search of Morel mushrooms (no, not magic mushrooms). After much time spent and no luck, I prayed to God that perhaps I could find something else worth finding.
On my way back home, I look to my left up through the the leaves and trees and notice a very large formation of huge boulders I've never noticed before. I hike up the hill towards this rock cliff. I start to search the cracks of these huge rock formations for any treasure that might be hidden.
To my utter surprise I find a metal container stuffed in a crack in the cliff. I pull out the half rusted, old, circular cookie container about 12 inches in diameter. The lid is sealed with duct tape. I pull the tape off and open the container which has #7 written on the lid.
Inside the container are a couple of New Testament bibles, some brochures on "how to live for God, four things God wants you to know, where will you spend eternity, what must i do to be saved." It also contained some pencils and little blank notebooks. Also about 10 little books about the size of a thing of matches about the Bible.
I climbed ontop of the cliff, sat down, thanked God, and prayed.
So awesome to see God was with me during my hike today and answered my prayer.
