this seems like a small question for a thread but can't figure where else i should post it. trying to find a verse and i cant. looked in my strongs under every word i could think might be in the verse. the verse says something about, and they shall call me father, or i desired they should call me father. i know that's pretty vague, but i'm sure it's in the old testament i thought it was in isaiah but i can't find it there. any help appreciated

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

it's the one you've given me but for some strange reason it seems different to me. but in my searches that was what i came up with also. i guess i thought there was another one close to this one it seemed to me the verse said , and i desired that they would call me father. anyway thank you for your searching thank you ChrisB another great verse. i would appreciate anymore insight anyone might be able to give me on my confusion on this topic, not in general
