Hello!

I am a high school student working on scholarship money for the university that I plan to go to after graduation. One opportunity that I have to receive a scholarship is to write an essay on vegetarianism. The essay must be based on interviewing/research, and/or personal opinion.

So the point of this post. . . =) If any of you out there are vegetarians, I would love to ask you a couple of questions about it to get your views. I, personally, am not one, so I need to understand the outlooks of those who are.

I appreciate your time!

Anna

I originally scoffed at the idea of vegetarianism, but lately it seems I don't feel well after eating pork products or any greasy foods. I am considering a major change in diet.

Isn't some fish and chicken at least necesary for a balanced diet?

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack the thread...I'll start a new one if you wish it.

Needing some guidance...

I know that there are other things you can substitute, I have learned, but you don't have to go cold turkey...thats the beauty of it, and fish is very healthy...I don't care for tofu, but I do love soy milk, so I was able to get protein from that and cheeses...let us know how it goes, and plus I was really lucky...so many members here gave me some awesome vegetarian recipes! YUMMY! Ok...off to school now! Good Luck and AnnaRS1003, how is your paper coming along?
Love and blessings
