When I was expecting my son in 1994, my inlaws were horrified that I was to maintain my veggie lifestyle. They told me that the baby would suffer - but imagine their surprise when he arrived at a very healthy 9lbs!!
These days, his shoes are too big for me ;-)
That's so cool! xxxxxMy favorite tabloid headline ever: "Vegetarian Gives Birth To Green Baby!"
Nice! I was wondering how women maintained their vegetarian diets throughout their pregnancies - it looks like it can be done with success for both mother and baby!
Yup, I did the veg pregnancy thing recently too. Happily, I had the support of family and friends (maybe the ones who were unsure were sick of getting lectures on nutrition!Nice! I've copped flak from it. At a BBQ hosted by meat eaters (but with at least 3 vegetarians in attendance) I got "Vegetarians are just abnormal" and such...(they weren't aware at the time I was on eof the vegetariansVegabletarian (what my lil bro calls it ;P) I've been made fun of for it though, has that happened to anybody? I don't care much it's just annoying, some people at church have actually shunned me for being a vegetarian.
