Heavenly Father I am so grateful for the life and example of this wonderful man; may his lessons and example endure; may he be rewarded in heaven for all that he has done to bring healing, guidance and hope to others; I am grateful for his compassion and for the changes he has made in the world and in so many lives of individuals here; may he rest in peace; may those who grieve be lifted from sorrow, and rejoice; Father, bring clarity and peace to those in need of guidance over the next few weeks; may Your Spirit be with them and give them insight. It seems your prayers are answered now that the new Pope Benedict XVI has been elected. He was very close to and is very much like John Paul II. Yes, I agree in prayer with you that Pope Benedict will lean on the Lord for help and support, in fact, from what I am reading it seems he does. Like the last Pope he loves animals, especially cats, his own cat was his most frequent dinner companion, so I am thinking that Pope John Paul's cat will have good care.

And God is raising up another man of peace in troubled times.
