are you talking about VAST as in Visual Audio Sensory Theatre? that do a song called "Here" and "Touched"? or is it a different VAST?

RIght, Visual Audio Sensory Theater.
I haven't had a chance to check their web site. (actually, i'm just too lazy and thought maybe there would be a rabid fan here that could tell me more. THe sort of information about Christianity that I'm interested in.

This band is NOT christian. - "Despite the christian overtones in some of the tracks (especially in I'm Dying), the CD as a whole is nihilstic and very dark."

Sorry to revive a thread 8 years later (!)... Im the author of the above linked review and wanted to clarify that the lead singer of VAST (Jon Crosby) did identify as Christian at the time of VASTs first album. eg In his interview at Ink19.com:
Some of their songs touch on issues of faith (eg Three Doors, Here, Im Dying), and some of the albums dark/nihilistic vibe comes from songs about questioning faith or spiritual separation. But theyre definitely not a Contemporary Christian Rock band though, and not all their songs are on those themes.
Anyway, hope that helps anyone who stumbles across this thread, like I did today!

I think VAST is about searching for the truth. I believe in good and evil and I believe Jesus was the Son of God, but I think people should just go with their heart, and do what they want to do.

VAST is a brilliant band and Jon has a very interesting mind when it comes to music. You can hear a lot of his own struggles in much of his early work.
