Physical Description:
Tall, reasonably muscular, handsome in the extreme (with flaws, of course - he IS part human, though his mother, who was the human, was extremely beautiful), with BRIGHT blue eyes and a tawny mane of hair. He is introduced into the story wearing a fawn coloured shirt, terracotta coloured breeches and an ankle length black coat. He has his bow and quiver strapped to his back, within easy reach.
History:
His father was not in his life much, so his mother raised him. However, when he was old enough, his mother found him an archery tutor. Vancile showed an unusual aptitude for archery, and soon his teacher had taught him all he knew. So, Vancile was sent to Warrior School (as its known in the common slang), where he studied advanced archery techniques. He graduated early as a master of archery.
The few times his father did show up, he taught Vancile the basics of swordplay.
Vancile's mother taught him kindness, patience, and love. However, not long after his 22nd birthday, a band of dragomen bandits raided his house, stole many of his posessions, and killed his mother.
Vancile came back home (he had been out with neighbour) and found the bandits still at work. Having no weapons on him, he was forced to let them go.
He buried his mother, gathered what few posessions of his were left, and headed to Yav, in a hope of finding work, and a new life. One day, he would kill ALL the dragomen who raided his house. He would avenge his mother's death.
So, in the end, Vancile found a job working for a bow maker in the city. He made a bow to his liking, and through the years saved up enough gold to enchant it. After the bow was enchantd, he planned to find work using his archery skills. He had enough gold left over to look after himself for a couple of weeks. This is where he is introduced into the story. The package Rynn had was Vancile's enchanted bow.
Head here to get a vague image of what he looks like. Minus the earring and chest hair, of course. It was a cross between him and the Prince out of Beauty and the Beast. Just to give you some idea....
