  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We're too far apart. I got him a card from Bible bookstore but he recently asked me to be his valentine which I thought was so sweet.

My previous relationship we were together for 3 years and my ex never asked me to be his valentine. Glad I got rid of him!

I really like this guy Neil. He's amazing.

It will not be on Valentines day since we too are a LDR now, but will be on the weekend after most likely. :)

But what I plan on doing is to get up nice and early and rent one of the airplanes at the airport where I work, fly over to Ellensburg (45 minutes), pick up my girlfriend, watch the sunset from 9,000' get some dinner someplace in Washington State--of her choosing--then head back. So, that's what the plan is thus far. :)

Probably dinner. I don't like Hallmark holidays so I try my best to let him do something nice without *Valentines Day* being the reason. Heck, I don't do mothers and fathers day either. Seems like such a horrible thing to have to make a day for people to be recognized and appreciated. Mothers day, fathers day, valentines day, etc should be every day, not just once a year. :)

I'll be at work, and he's got class. I'm working nights that week, so I'll be sleeping in the day, and working in the evening... and he's got class in the afternoon and evening. I don't even know if we'll get a chance to talk to each other!

Since it's also our 2nd dating anniversary, it's too bad we can't celebrate on the day, but we'll probably do something the next week. We haven't talked about what we're gonna do.

woo hoo, i can post...

Well, seeing as if I do not destroy my relationship before Valentine's Day, here is what I had hoped to do for her.

It will have to be on Monday also, because she has class On Valentine's night... I will take her out to a nice place to eat. After dinner we will drive out to our local lake where I first kissed her. I will have already been out there and planted a gift. I am making her up a message in a bottle. In the bottle will be a poem that I wrote for her. I will tie a rope to the bottle and throw it way out, and then tie the rope off to the dock. I will then place a big red ribbon on the dock, and hang a sign above it that reads "Pull Me In"

Hopefully that will make her heart soft...Then once I take her back home, i will give her a scrap book of little things that I have been saving fro our dates along the whole way. 4 months worth. I do not have enough to fill the book, but it will be unfinished and there for her to add to as we move along.

Also, please pray that she be understanding. I have been working through some trials lately, and it has not been easy for her. Mostly because I made it that way, but pray that she forgive me and see that I love her very much.
