Vacation time!!!

If you could go on a like short 3 day vacation where would you go? I'll be going on a short vacation alone and need ideas..... any thoughts?

I would choose a nice hotel downtown in a big city, preferable one I've never been to.

I love Mexico. So many options. You can hang on the beach and relax. You can join in a game of beach volleyball. You can go out and meet new people and enjoy the night life. You can find cheap local food as well as expensive fine dining.

I'd choose one of the many Mexican beach resort places. Cabo, Cancun, Cozumel, Acapulco, Puerto Vallarta, etc...

Another option for me, is I would go camping out somewhere at a lake with a campground. Rent a a cabin or use a tent, doesn't matter. Nice and peaceful way to relax from all the hustle and bustle of life.

i would go to the mountians or the barrier islands here- all within my state. or i would go stay at a fancy smancy hotel downtown and pretend to be a tourist and see all the touristy stuff.

I always go to Chicago for 3 day vacations or Minneapolis but that's because they're close to home for me.

If I were to go on a short 3 day vacation, I'd go to Catalina Island. It's off the coast of Long Beach. It's about a 4 hour drive down, then the boat ride over and it's a small, quiet little island with plenty of things to do.

Last time I went, my boyfriend(ex now) and I were only supposed to say 3 nights. We ended up staying 5 nights. It was such a nice getaway.

Being you are in Tampa, you could always head down to the keys for a great short get away.

I imagine there are some good airline deals between Florida and NYC. But I don't know how safe NYC would be for a first time visitor travelling alone.

Downtown San Diego. There's a great vibrance down there, you can wander around forever and find new things to do and not get bored.

Sanibel and Marco Island aren't that far from you. I've heard they're both really nice places to visit.

Maui! go to maui - im serious. just sit on the beach with the moon shinin' down on you and the sand cold on your feet - its perfect... I love maui. only been once, but best place - even the rain is wonderful!
