  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I am doing an experiment here... a utopia... Man does not exist and we are peaceful creatures that hate no one and do not judge... could it be possible? what is in a utopia?

Utopia translates to "no where".

So, the coiner of the phrase who wrote the book were we are deriving this term was probably cynical as to its possibility.

A utopia without conflict would require removing all ambition, drive to learn, grow, or change as those all can be confrontational, as any challenge.
Essentially a utopia could exist if we were all more or less cattle. Possible, but not a pleasant idea in the least to me, and without emotional context in such a world, it wouldnt contain the capacity for enjoyment.

^_^ No, I am not a feminist. ^_^ Though, I think a world with just women would be far more peaceful then a world with just men. ^_^

As for the ambition part, I think this world would do better without it, for with ambition also comes greed and failure, and guilt. It leads into trials...

Don't think in Heaven though there won't be a drive to learn though, for we will be at work, but we will have changed bodies and it will be a utopia then... I should think about reading that book. I never heard of it.

I know a few too many women to agree with you on this one... Men handle confrontation openly so at first glance an all male society would seem less peaceful. But, is the opposite of peace only a physical war? Do mind games and backstabbing count as peace just because no blood is shed? Their wars might be more noticeable, but one could argue that ours would be more painful.

To the OP- Utopia is not possible. A near-perfect society cannot be created because no two people would agree on what that would mean. So, what is Utopia to you might not be Utopia to me and is therefore not Utopia at all.
