no more hyperness.
everytime i start the demo, it crashes my computer.
i went to the game's official mb, and some other people had a similar problems. for some people, the game runs fine.
grrr...anyone else who's tried this demo, have this problem?'

i DLed the demo but the RL has been too crazy for me to try it, think i will try it out tomorrow and i'll let you know

I've downloaded it. didn't have any problems.
The game is awesome but there's really only 3 game types worth playing i guess.
Assault, invasion and onslaught. Onslaught is amazing, seriously an awesome gametype. If you haven't played onslaught yet you gotta play it. It's a mix of team fortress, assault, strategy and tactics. Really fun.

i think something is wrong with my graphics card. my brother's friend has the same one, and it's been giving him problems too.
not only that, it's always been giving him problems.

i think ut2004 can support software rendering. I could be wrong cause i could be thinking of world of warcraft.
Generaly anything that is below the geforce1 range will be laughed at by the ut2004 engine. You need a fairly new video card.

well my brother called me, and he told me to download the newest driver version or something like that.
i downloaded a different directx a while back, and he said that could be a problem.
and so anyways, the game works fine now.

always make sure you have the latest drivers and direct (which is 9.b now) if youre having problems with anything on your comp, thats guaranteed to be a fix for 80% of the probs most people see

What graphics card? if its nVidia one (Geforce anything) then the driver may be whats messing you up. If it is, then downloading an older driver might fix your problem. i believe 45.3 (or is it 4.53?) or SOMETHING close to that is the one you should try. i'll have to get back to you later on which one it is...
I have DL'ed the game, but right now i am fasting video games until March 5th, so it'll have to wait...

ok....thats what i get for replying before reading all of the posts.....anyways, i still recommend getting a the later drive...which is STIll 45.3 or something like that...

Who else absolutely loves the Manta? Gosh that craft is fun. Sometimes when playing the AI there will be 2 or 3 people lined up and I can just fly straight through 'em, and get 'em before they jump. Now I am sounding evil and sadistic.. Maybe I should leave.

Downloaded the Demo.
Gotta say it ROCKS!!!!
Nice as smooth (as always on the UT engine).
Game play brings UT into the "good team game" genre at last.
Tanks and aircraft and jeeps are cool (but much as I HATED halos vehicle control at first, I now wish UT used the same control method)
AND... it totaly supports use of Microphone communication with NO setup problems (for me)

Phnx, i have a Geforce 4 Ti4200, and though i can't play the game, a friend of mine came over, and played it on my computer (i watched) and the game ran smoother than a babies bottom! And i'm fairly certain i had most, if not all of the graphics turned fairly high up there...
i also have a 2500 AMD Athlon, 512 3200 333 mhz DDR Ram, and....what else effects performance?...i good nForce2 mobo chipset...
Unless taht stuff's much better than yours, it should run smoothly....see if you have either the latest drives, or if you DO have them, and they don't help, do like me and revert back to the 45.3 driver!

ok my update about the demo.....amazing
grafix are really tight, nice selection on vehicles, much <3 for the mantra too
my only problem is....i have no idea what all the guns can do and such yet, but i will learn

Hmmmm.... I may try the Demo on my Laptop which, while it is a P4 2.2 Ghz with 512 MB Ram, it only has a 16MB ATI Rage chipset for graphics.
On my Desktop (P4 HT 2.4 Ghz with 1024 MB Ram, and a 128 MB Geforce FX 5600) it TOTALY rocks with everything on Max and a res 0f 1280 x 1024 @ 32 bit colour...but then it should.
