using linkedin for job search

Has anyone used LinkedIn for job searching? I listened to a 2 hr presentation this morning from Greig Wells about this. He says his team can help others to link in, set up profiles, use key words etc. to help people find jobs. The thing is, I've never used Linked in, but am tired of being unemployed too!

I'm waiting on God's timing and am not stressing about this. He says for $400 his team can do this and also put your resume on first page of google.
I called Chuck and told him about this, but am currently praying on this. Not sure if I should do this or not....... They saw a lot of people have gotten noticed because of their help..

Hi, I have heard linked in is a great way to network. In most lines of work, i've heard it is a must. You may very well may find a new employer or employee through this site. Keep praying, remember God works together good (rom 8:28, jer 29:11).

today I used it but no jobs popped up. I got a call which I missed from a chiropractor. I assume it was about a job...I'll wait until Monday even tho I called the answer machine..

Good question. I am primarily looking for a job to get more work experience on paper and most importantly to serve others in love, letting God work through me. I'm looking for any job without any serious qualifications (minimum wage stuff.)

I've been trying to use LinkedIn more often in my job search but I still feel like I don't really understand it. It just seems like a fancier version of Facebook for pretentious professionals, yet so many swear that it's a fantastic resource. Maybe this whole networking thing isn't a natural talent of mine.
