Will o' the Wisp can also be described as Fox Fire.

Interesteringly enough in Japan it can be described as "Kitsune Bi" which literaly translates to Fox Fire.

And it's not some wacky coincidence where Kitsune Bi means something else in this situation but can also translate that way. The myth is that they are lights created by Foxes to lure travelers. So the same myth and phrase occur half a world apart with no connection from the language aspect.

Whether this is evidence for Jungian psychology or magic foxes, I don't know.
