Agriculture officials seize 37 live beetles disguised as Japanese snacks at LAX​

The CBP said exotic insects are often sought after by collectors and enthusiasts. Illegally trading exotic insects online and on underground sources can be lucrative.

The CBP said the beetles will likely be donated to local zoos that have permits for the live insects or preserve them in collections.

CBP is doing a good job and how they find this stuff out of all the boxes imported from Japan is beyond me. I've watched videos of people getting busted at airports for transporting drugs and customs agents a pretty smart too.
