Immigrants who came from Continental Reformed traditions were largely, but not entirely, absorbed into the Presbyterian churches here.

Well, the Dutch certainly weren't. But they brought along mainly the Belgic Confession, the Heidelberg Catechism, and the Canons of Dordt.

So the Swiss reformed did go to the Belgic reformed churches or the prssbyterian church?

Some, including my own Swiss forefathers, went with the German Reformed (Heidelberg), most of whom are now in the UCC. Interestingly, the early German Reformed presence here were joint with the Dutch until there were enough Germans to form their own Synod.

Most Reformed Christians who immigrated to the US eventually came into Presbyterianism. The CRC and RCA (the two Dutch Reformed denominations) along with some other small denominations continue to exist too, but by and large the Presbyterian churches absorbed their smaller Reformed counterparts. Even the Calvinistic Methodists joined the Presbyterians.
