Is it normal for tiger salamanders to shed their skin?

Mine is kinda peeling away from the head down, reminds me of a caterpillar...

I mean there's skin underneath the stuff that is peeling but I'm not sure.

Help?

Thanks for praying, maybe it worked, lol.

Looks like he might have Gas bubble disease.

He has pretty much the same symtons for it that were online, so I'll go work on that now

Alrighty, I went down thre and he looked fine, LOL.

I changed his water from tap water to pure water like this website suggested and in his old water I found what looked like an old layer of skin..lol. Ah well, I'll keep an eye on it.

Oh, and I also found out I've been feeding him too many mealworms.

But that's what happens when the guy at the pet store gives ya mealworms instead of earth worms, LOL
