I have two prayer request and I am asking (as you are lead) to pray with me for them.
1. Protection in the storm- Hurricane Isabel is getting closer to land and I live not too far from the coastlines. I am told it will hit my area tomorrow morning @ 8AM. An hour earlier 7AM I will be walking to work!! I work with the elderly in a nursing home and I am praying I will be able to go to work and that I will be safe from harm. So please pray for me. If it gets too bad, I may go on to work tonight after church.
2. Many of you know that I have been trying to quit smoking and I have really good days and some not so good days. Most of my co-workers smoke and so sometimes it is hard to resist temptation. Some of the residents smoke and I smell it alot. I sometimes feel like an alcoholic locked in a liquar store all night!!
So I am asking special prayers for that also.
**Lastly I want to say thank you to those who prayed for me before. I saw the results right away. I was unemployed and in desperate need of a job and many of you prayed and stood in the gap with me and now I have a decent job. Thanks much...prayer changes things.
