Urgent Prayers Needed

My mother, who is 84, came back from a trip to Japan with a very bad chest cold which is leaving her extremely tired all the time. To complicate things, she fainted and fell on the sidewalk just outside her home and hit the back of her head.

Furthermore, my mother is very involved in the New Age Movement which is why she went on the trip in the first place. I've been praying for her for over 20 years.

Please pray for her salvation, and for her health, that she will recover quickly and completely. My family appreciates your prayers!

Thank you, all, for your kind thoughts and much needed prayers! I'm glad that my hubby is staying there tonight to watch her and keep her company. When I came home to pack some things, I forgot that I had some things to do for my hubby to get him ready to leave on Monday. He works out of town during the weekdays. I'm comforted to know she won't be alone tonight. I'll return tomorrow afternoon to spend the day and early evening with her. She lives a little over and hour's drive from where we live.

Our Father in heaven is at work right now. I think you know this already. It is difficult to understand His ways, I know. I pray for your peace and strength and that He works this situation for the good of all involved. I pray your poor mother is saved through this experience somehow and that all oppression come to an end. That her heart would be changed for her sake.

It's hard when our parents get older and we have to see them hurt or suffer. My mom is 74 and a breast cancer survivor. I will definately be praying miz, for her and for you and hubby also!

Yes, when our parents who are up in years get sick, they need a closer watch. Mom sleeps a lot because she's so tired. It's good that she's getting a lot of rest.

What is the New Age Movement? (Bear with me, I'm only 13)

Hi, blue eyes:

The New Age Movement is based in ancient traditions (ie, alchemy, gnosticism, Buddhism, etc.), often times including mystical experiences. My mother's particular group believes more in the Buddhist tradition with smatherings of other worldly religions. I've even seen Scripture quoted in one of their pamphlets and the mentioning of Christ! I was shocked, to say the least.

Other New Age Movements have their own areas of belief. Some are more metaphysical (ie, psychic readings, out-of-body experiences, etc.) than belief in a traditional form of religion.

Am glad you asked. This is definitely the type of religion that keeps one away from Christ!

You're very sweet, Solo. If my mother recovers completely, she could live another ten years or more, God willing. Sad thoughts crossed my mind yesterday when she wasn't doing well. Thank God she looks so much better today and seems to be regaining strength.

Heavenly Father, I come here in agreement with my fellow brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to pray for your child, MizDittoD's mother.  We pray for the healing of her body, and that of her soul as well.

We pray Lord, as one, that you quicken her heart Lord to hear your precious voice and that she answer your call.  Father, send her someone, even if it isn't MizD into her life to help sow those seeds your precious daughter MizD has been planting as your faithful child for years.  Lord, maybe her mother needs to be hurting right now to see the Truth, and I pray that she open her eyes to see and her ears to hear.  I pray Lord, that one day we'll understand all.

I pray Lord, that you give MizDittoD peace that goes beyond our understanding, and give her strength Lord in your love.
